    I think a cringeworthy moment for me that also got me hooked occured on a Saturday morning show in the early 80’s. It could have also hit me so hard because I was very young and like you, was seeing it as real, and it may well have been. Arn Anderson (may have even been his debut because Ole was telling us about him as he wrestled) was wrestling some no name jobber and punishing his left arm in typical Anderson fashion. The guy’s arm broke, and I mean if this guy was faking he deserves an Oscar. The Raging Bull ran out to protect him and started a feud with Arn. Just the concept of my mind at that age watching a guy’s arm get broke and the hero rushing in to vanquish the bad guy had me hooked.
