HOF-TheFreebirds

In this episode of the Double Dropkick Show, Mark Whitman and Heath Mullikin talk about the return of Shane McMahon, The Freebirds going into the WWE Hall of Fame, the election, and the worst wrestling journalism.  The guys pull no punches in giving their thoughts on the do’s and don’ts of covering an independent wrestling event.  Let the record show that this is the show where the term Jeff Jabroni was coined.  Plus, why they’re not as excited as everyone else is about the Shane vs. Undertaker match for Wrestlemania.  We would love your comments by sending us a tweet @heathmullikin and @theddkshow or by joining and posting our Facebook Group, The Wrestling You Grew Up With. On October 4, 1975, wrestling was changed forever when a single engine plane crashed in Wilmington, NC.  The crash ended the careers of 2 wrestlers including US Heavyweight Champion Johnny Valentine.  2 other wrestlers on the plane, Ric Flair and Tim Woods(Aka Mr. Wrestling) were able to continue to careers and Flair went on to become a 16 time World Champion widely regarded as the greatest of all time.  What if Ric Flair’s career had ended after the plane crash?  How would wrestling be different today?  Which great superstars would’ve never been inspired to pursue wrestling because they never saw the Nature Boy? We would love your comments by sending us a tweet @heathmullikin and @theddkshow or by joining and posting our Facebook Group, The Wrestling You Grew Up With.  We would also appreciate if you took a moment to Like our Facebook Page, and leave us a rating and review on iTunes.
